Hughie Jones and Mick Groves were with the famous Spinners Folk Group for over 30 years until the group disbanded. Hughie continued to sing and write his well known sea songs and has performed in Europe and the USA at clubs and festivals. He has five maritime CDs. to his name. Mick moved to Exeter and now sings mostly in the West Country. He also returns to Liverpool and performs at the Everyman Club. He has recorded two CDs on more general topics. Bob Conroy is from New York and is recognized as one of the world’s best long neck banjo players. Bob has sung for many years with the band Stout who do Sea Festivals, clubs, TV etc. and have made many recordings. Bob has appeared at clubs and festivals in the UK and the rest of Europe. He plays on three of Hughie’s CDs.
