The Barnacle Buoys now have a hat-trick of appearances at the Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival. We enjoy the festival and town so much we are coming down for the whole week!
The last year has been extremely busy for us with appearances across a range of different events and venues. These have included the Bristol Folk Festival, Watchet Music Fest, the inaugural Severn Seas Fest in Bristol, the historic Matthew and numerous clubs, halls, and community events; all very different and all hugely enjoyable.
In common with most of the shanty singing groups, we continue to strut our stuff to raise funds for good causes. For us, that means the Children's Hospice SW and the RNLI. We are therefore most pleased to continue our support for the RNLI here at the Falmouth festival.
In addition to the time and effort in preparation and performances, we have also completed our first CD called 'Maiden Voyage'. We are very pleased with this; mostly popular shanties, but with the Barnies stamp on them. Probably one of the best shanty CD's we've heard!!!!
Well, have fun everyone. Once more we look forward to meeting old friends and making new ones throughout the weekend.
