We are a group of shanty singers from Watchet in Somerset, the home of the famous Yankee Jack Shanty man who spent many years of his life out at sea, leading shanty songs for the working men on the ships. A statue of "Yankee Jack" sits upon the esplanade in Watchet. The ancient port of 1000 years. We sing at the monthly shanty evenings at the local tavern "Pebbles", which is the heart of Watchet. The group consists of John Crocker, Rosie May Giblet, Emmi Coombes, Joel Taite, Chris Spink and Jacqueline Chiplin.
